A Special Offer for Charity
My thanks to everyone who supported me in my efforts to complete America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride around Lake Tahoe for the second time. This was a 100-mile bike ride and I trained from January through May with Team in Training, part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. To support my ride, I raised nearly $5,000 for LLS! This was my fifth TNT century and my best ever, I think. It was a beautiful day and a very good ride overall.
But the mission is not yet complete. There is no cure yet for leukemia or lymphoma, even though headway is being made. Therefore, I have decided to leave open my special offer for charity and support the efforts of a good friend, Ted Wilcox. Ted is a two-time survivor of leukemia and his physical strength and strength of character and spirit are an inspiration.
Therefore, I am again offering authors a rare opportunity. You can submit an UNSOLICITED chapter (not to exceed 25 pages double-spaced, and I strongly recommend you send the first chapter) and synopsis (not to exceed 5 pages double-spaced) and I will read that chapter and respond with my thoughts. You MUST include your receipt showing you donated to his effort with your submission. All donations are fully tax-deductible and The Zack Company, Inc. receives no income from this offer. All submissions must be made by US Mail and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Making a donation and submitting should in no way be construed as increasing your chances of receiving representation. TZC will read and respond with a one- to two-page evaluation of your work. Should we wish to read more, we will request more. If we decline the work, our evaluation will explain why we are declining it.
