John Clarkson
John Clarkson began his writing career in New York as a playwright, having his first play produced at the Ensemble Studio Theater. He has also written short story fiction for SMOKE magazine; a screenplay (based on his first novel) for Paramount Pictures; and served as head-writer, co-producer, and author of five hour-long dramatic episodes for the TV series, LAND'S END.John is the author of the popular Jack Devlin series—AND JUSTICE FOR ONE (Crown /Berkley), ONE MAN'S LAW (Berkley), and ONE WAY OUT (Berkley)—featuring the international investigator Jack Devlin, described by THE NEW YORK TIMES as an "all guts hero" in novels that "pack a savage punch."His fourth novel, NEW LOTS (Forge Books), a crime thriller set in Brownsville, Brooklyn, was published in October 1998. His most recent novel, REED'S PROMISE, a suspense thriller set in upstate New York, was published by Forge Books in hardcover in December 2001 and in paperback in May 2004. He is currently working on a new novel.John is a member of the Authors' Guild and Writers' Guild of America, East. He is married and lives in New York. |
