FALCONFAR, the third book of the Falconfar series, Narmarkoun is revealed to have survived. Everlar avoids the monster’s jaws, but Malraun is devoured. Unbeknownst to Everlar, Lorontar’s sentience ‘jumps’ from Malraun into the mind of the monster, and guides it away to capture novice wizards he can control.
Narmarkoun leads a small army to Malraun’s tower to seize all the magic he can. Taeauna leads a handful of warriors to Malraun’s tower to rescue Everlar. Lorontar’s mind-controlled novice wizards teleport into Malraun’s tower to seize all the magic they can find.
All of these forces meet and fight inside the tower, and Narmarkoun’s spells prove strongest. Lorontar’s wizards flee into our real world. Seeking to follow them, Narmarkoun forces Everlar to show him how to enter our real world. Everlar, Taeauna, and Narmarkoun all end up there.
In Everlar’s dusty house in our real world (where most spells don’t work), Taeauna and Everlar fight and
slay Narmarkoun, and then return to Falconfar.
Lorontar’s two possessed wizards remain in our real world, seeking to hide among us and (despite most magic not working) continue to work mischief.
As the story ends, Taeauna and Everlar declare their love for each other, and Everlar reveals that he now considers himself a man of Falconfar, not our real world. | | |
